Security Industry CPD Organisations
Continual Professional Development For Security Professionals. Security CPD Global Is One Of The UK’s Leading Security Specific CPD Providers.
Security Industry CPD and Organisations
Security CPD Global Ltd supports international, European, and UK-based entities that are dedicated to professional development and raising standards for all Security Operatives, below are just a few of the Security Industry CPD Organisations that we are involved with.
Our objective is to provide Security Professionals with resources that will enable them to progress their careers and obtain information and guidance relevant to the Security Industry.
We are happy to add Associations and Awarding Organisations that are dedicated to Continuous Professional Development, as this is in everyone’s one’s interests to maintain and deliver a quality and up-to-date service from Operatives to Directors.
There are several routes to qualification from Acas, University Board to Ofqual Regulated and through to Endorsed or accredited routes, set up by Awarding Organisations who have already achieved Ofqual Status and finally, we have CPD certification which can be provided by any person or Organisation is this is not currently regulated by any Official Government body.
However just because a course is listed on the Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF) which is overseen by Ofqual, doesn’t make it good or bad, it is the Quality of the Instruction given to learners that matters the most. It should be also recognised by the industry you work within, another condition would be whether this course will aid you in performing your duties or enable you to excel within your career or personal life.
The content of the training must be Valid, Authentic, Reliable, Current, and Sufficient (VARCS) which is why Security CPD Global Ltd has adopted the same principles as a regulated Organisation, therefore when we approve Training, Seminars, and Achievements we ensure it is Quality Assured and clearly indicates it is CPD rather than giving the misleading impression of being a Government-regulated course. To ensure VARCS, we appoint industry-competent Internal & External Quality Assurance personnel who are qualified and experienced in their field.
The Security Industry has always found it difficult to get training programs on the regulated framework due to a wide range of reasons such as Security Concerns, IP Issues, lack of Numbers, and the cost of development for RQF. This is where Security CPD Global fits in with our clients, as we are able to provide the certification for unique and sometimes security-sensitive training or development, we will only approve dedicated training providers who have a genuine interest in Quality rather than Quantity

The Association of British Investigators (ABI) was Formed in 1913, the ABI is the home of professional private sector investigation here in the UK. In an industry that’s still unregulated, we work tirelessly to raise standards and to see the credibility of our members recognised.
Since the 1950s, they have lobbied successive governments for regulation.
While we wait, the industry remains a ‘free-for-all’, where untrained and unscrupulous operators are free to practice. This tarnishes the reputation of our industry as a whole – so they have imposed their own voluntary code of ethics and standards. Members adhere to this, so ABI membership is worn as a badge of quality.
Any investigator who applies for membership is rigorously vetted, he or she will have to produce a criminal records certificate that meets the ABI Policy Statement, hold adequate professional indemnity insurance and show sound financial probity.
References are thoroughly checked, and membership is only offered following a face-to-face interview. Only the best people make the grade.
The International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) is a charity for those responsible for managing risks in all their forms. They are independent and speak freely, championing risk management to drive positive change for both employee and organisational wellbeing.
